SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Amid postseason play for several OCCAC volleyball representatives, the conference office announced the 2018 All-OCCAC honors on Friday (Nov. 2) and the NJCAA Region XII released all-region honors Monday (Nov. 5).

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – A Tartan Pride pair has been bestowed the honor of the 2017-18 OCCAC Sportsmanship of the Year award as Sinclair’s Jazzlyn Petry and Alec Holtrey swept the Female and Male recognitions. Petry competes on the softball squad while Holtrey spends his time on the hardwood as a member of the men’s basketball team.

Dayton, OH – The Sinclair (19-9/10-4 OCCAC) Volleyball could not match the power and size of Owens (29-0/11-0 OCCAC) as the Express remained unbeaten. Despite a brilliant effort, Owens capitalized on every Sinclair error and made the home team pay in the 3-0 result.
Dayton, OH – The Sinclair (19-8/10-3 OCCAC) Volleyball won their 8th match in a row and their 10th conference match tonight as the Pride drive home a 3-1 win over visiting Lorain County (11-14/3-8).
Friday the 13th was going to be unlucky for one team and tonight the visiting Commodores found the Brick House and the nightmare on 4th street. Tonight was also Sinclair’s annual Pink Game for Breast Cancer Awareness.
Dayton, OH – The Sinclair (18-8/9-3 OCCAC) Volleyball won their 7th match in a row and their 9th conference match tonight in a 3-0 sweep of Columbus State (13-9/8-5).
This was also the 800th win in program history dating back to 1975. Former AD and Volleyball Coach Norma Dycus has the most career wins with 407 followed by Coach Gan with 355 and counting.
Dayton, OH – The Sinclair (17-8/8-3 OCCAC) Volleyball only needed 65 minutes to knock off Miami University-Hamilton (5-5/5-2 ORCC) 3-0 this afternoon.
Sinclair had no let down coming off a critical OCCAC victory last night and looked to be finding a groove for post-season play. Not sure the Harriers of MUH were ready for the Sinclair fire power as the Pride scored early and often for an opening set victory 25-11.
Dayton, OH – The Sinclair (16-8/8-3) Volleyball had to come from behind to pull out a home victory in five sets over visiting OCCAC rival Edison State (12-6/4-4).
In a critical match with district seedings on the line, Sinclair needed a home victory to stay in contention for one of three post season bids from the OCCAC. #1 in the nation Owens has almost wrapped up the first bid with a 9-0 start in the conference. With the win tonight, Sinclair moves into the second seed at 8-3 just ahead of Lakeland at 6-3.
Dayton, OH – The Sinclair (13-8/6-3) Volleyball team returned home to Building 8 Arena for the first time in almost a month to a warm crowd and a 3-0 victory over Cedarville University JV (1-3).
Not only was this a grand homecoming after 18 consecutive matches on the road, but Coach KC Gan recorded his 350th career victory as the Sinclair Head Volleyball Coach.

Leading the way, freshman outside hitter Shayna Bierlein earning this week’s OCCAC Division II Player of the Week.
Dayton, OH – The Sinclair (1-1/1-1) Volleyball team recorded win number one of the season today as the Pride beat visiting Cuyahoga (0-1/0-1) 3-1 for a weekend split. The win today was the 11th consecutive victory over Cuyahoga over the last four seasons.
Dayton, OH – The Sinclair (0-1/0-1) Volleyball team played its first match of the 2017 season tonight against visiting Lakeland (1-0/1-0). Not only was this the season opener for both teams but this was also the conference opener with Lakeland earning a 3-2 fifth set win.
The Sinclair athletic department took time away from all the activities associated with the first day of classes for the Athletic department orientation. Monday was a long first day for most of our student athletes and it finished off with several speakers and individual team meeting or practice. About 85 student-athlete attended the annual kickoff to the academic year hosted by Jeff Price, Athletic Director.
