Sinclair Volleyball knocks off Cuyahoga 3-0

Dayton, OH – The Sinclair (9-7/4-1) Volleyball team rolls past the Challengers today as the Pride beat visiting Cuyahoga (4-10/2-4) 3-0 for a conference sweep this week.

Even though it looks like an easy 3-0 win, it was anything but easy as Cuyahoga entered Building 8 Arena ready for a Friday night upset.

Every time Sinclair needed to stop a Tri-C run or put some distance between the two, the Pride found their go to Freshman and current OCCAC Player of the Week – Nicole Sicking (5-11/FR – Fairfield HS).

What’s turning out to be a dynamic duo for the Pride, Sicking recorded 20 kills tonight as teammate Kara Jones (5-6/SO – Kettering Fairmont HS) handed out 23 assist.

Sinclair will have a much needed off weekend as they get ready for a three match week coming up.

With only 9 home matches on the schedule, Sinclair is currently in the middle of a 6 match home stand that will have large conference implications with the final two home matches – Edison State & Owens.

All home games are played in Building 8 Arena on the downtown Dayton campus.
