Dayton, OH – The Sinclair (1-2/5-5) Volleyball team earned its second home win of the 2015-16 season tonight with a 3-0 victory over visiting Clark State CC (0-4/0-0).

The Tartans took over the first match right from the start 3-0 with Meg Reineke (FR-Outside Hitter/New Knoxville H.S.) throwing down 3 kills to take the game for the win. Clark State struggled to keep up with our aggressive attacks at the net and gave the Tartans some easy points to score off of. The Tartans went on the win the first match 25-12.

Clark State was able to get some confidence back while keeping within distance of the Tartans in the second match. Sinclair couldn’t break the lead any more than 4 until Alexandra Petri (SO-Outside Hitter/Springboro H.S.) gave the Eagles an attack they couldn’t bring back. Sinclair went on to win the match 25-20.

Both teams played even throughout the third game until Meg Reineke had 3 kills to put Sinclair up 23-17.  From that point, the Tartans took control and finished strong to win their second home game of the season.
