Jeff Price has been the Head Men's Basketball Coach since 2003 and the Athletic Director since 2013. He is now getting ready to enter his 16th year at Sinclair with over 25+ years coaching at the collegiate level. The framework has been set for a solid educational foundation as well as the re-birth of a competitive NJCAA Division II Men's Basketball program.

Coach Price emphasizes a well-rounded experience for his Student/Athletes that encompasses the many different phases of being a collegiate Student/Athlete. Along with working hard in the class room and on the court, the Men's Basketball Team has been actively involved with a number of community service projects to complete the three C's (Classroom, Community Service & Competition). Several community service projects include: Visits to the Dayton VA Hospital, Serving Thanksgiving Dinner to over 5,000 community members at the Feast of Giving-Dayton Convention Center, serving as youth coaches for the Oakwood Youth Basketball Organization, hosting free basketball clinics on military bases, visiting our Vets in the amputee unit at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington (DC) and working hand in hand with top young professionals as they join forces with Generation Dayton to help clean up downtown Dayton.

Another program Coach Price has put into place during his tenure at Sinclair, the PEP-Player Enhancement Program. In addition to speakers and service learning projects, the PEP offers additional study tables and tutors along with guest speakers from all aspects of life. The last component of the PEP is the 3 year rotation of venues that the team visits during the season. Every three years the team will play the University of North Carolina JV team in Chapel Hill, followed by every three years a game against the University of Pennsylvania JV team played at the famed Palestra with visits to the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall and finally every three years the team will play in DC followed by tours of the White House, Capitol, Arlington and the Supreme Court. This program was designed to aid in the development of Sinclair's young student-athletes on many different levels throughout their Sinclair career.

Price first joined the collegiate coaching fraternity during the 1991-92 seasons as the men's assistant basketball coach for Davis & Elkins College, an NCAA Division II institution in Elkins, WV. The following year, he added the title of Head Golf Coach to his duties as Assistant Basketball Coach. 1996, Price was presented with a head coaching opportunity and accepted the head coaching position as the Women's Basketball Coach at D&E. While serving as Head Golf Coach at D&E, he held several NCAA committee positions which included the position of Chairperson for NCAA Division II National Championship Selections for Men's Golf from 1996-99. Coach Price also had a short stop as Assistant Coach at Earlham College for the 1999-2000 year.

Thoughout his career, Coach Price has hosted his own basketball camps and been contracted to speak at a number of events across the country.  He has worked at some very high profile and familiar basketball camps such as University of Dayton, University of Michigan, Marshall University, University of Louisville, Central Michigan University and Wright State University.

During the last 15 years, the Men’s Basketball program has experienced much success.  Two impactful records were set with a 21 game winning streak and 21 straight games streak to start the 2015-16 season.  Last season, Akiean Frederick became the 7th NJCAA All-American at Sinclair and the 4th All-American under Coach Price.  As impactful as all the wins and the two conference championships, most importantly and most notably would be the placement of 50 student-athletes at four year institutions since 2010.  In the history of Sinclair Men’s Basketball, only three individuals have achieved the status of NJCAA All-Academic (All-American).  Bastiaan Van Willigen earn back-to-back honors (1996-97 & 1997-98) and in the last two seasons under Coach Price, Jackson Pietrzak (2016-17) and Alec Holtrey (2017-18).

In 2003, Coach Price became the 5th head coach at Sinclair and now stand alone as the 2nd all-time winningest coach with 273 wins.  The 167 non-conference wins and 116 overall road wins ranks him #1 in Sinclair history. Last year was his eight 20 win season which also ranks #1 at Sinclair for 20 win seasons while collecting OCCAC Coach of the Year honors in 2007-08 and again in 2015-16

As Athletic Director his duties within the confernce includes: Men’s & Women’s Basketball Chair, Ethics Committee member as well as holding the office of Assistant Commissioner.  Assisting with the many different conference projects and serving as Asst. Commissioner, Basketball Chair and Ethics committee member, Price was awarded the Michael Richard OCCAC Athletic Director of the Year award in 2015 and again in 2017.

One of the many highlights of his short tenure as Sinclair's Athletic Director is the establishment of an Athletics Hall of Fame in 2018.  Over the last few years, overseeing an athletic department that has had a record number of graduates and successful transfers as well as NJCAA All-Academic individuals & teams.

In addition to his head coaching duties, Price has served as the Corporate Manager for Schear Family Practice from 2000 to 2009 and held the position of Board of Trustees Board Chairman for the Brown Memorial Library in Preble County. Price continues his annual summer trek to the Walt Disney Company in Orlando Florida to work as a seasonal cast member in the Entertainment Department.

A native of Preble County, Price graduated from Twin Valley North H.S. and went on to graduate from Marshall University with a Bachelor of Arts degree.  Coach Price currently resides in Lewisburg with his wife, Cynthia.  They have two sons, Michael and Kyle both of whom attended Marshall University.
