Sinclair’s Turner earns OCCAC Player of the Week

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Kaylesha Broyles (Edison State) and Ronnell Turner (Sinclair) received another gift during the holiday season, picking up OCCAC Basketball Player of the week honors for Dec. 17-23.

Ronnell Turner (6-01/FR – Northwest HS – Cincinnati, OH) poured in 31 points on 12-of-22 (55%) shooting, including a 3-of-6 effort from long range. He added seven rebounds, four assists and two steals while committing three turnovers in a complete 40-minute showing at Wayne County. Three members of the Tartan Pride men’s program has now earned the weekly conference honor in six of eight weeks this season.

Sinclair (8-4) is currently two games into an eight game away stretch before returning home on January 19th to face Lorain County.  Monday (New Year’s Eve) the mid-west tour continues as the Pride play at Jackson in Michigan then at Wilberforce on Wednesday before finishing the three game week in Illinois at Danville Area.
