SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Three student-athletes received OCCAC Basketball Player of the Week distinction on Monday (Jan. 28). Delesha Jackson (Lakeland) and Whitney Thames (Owens) are the female honorees while Tre’maine Gray of Sinclair snagged the D-II men’s accolade.

Tre’maine Gray (6-00/SO – Firestone HS – Akron, OH) is the conference player of the week for the second time, earning his first award back on Nov. 26. This time around he averaged 22.5 points, 7.5 assists, 5.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 1.0 blocks per game.

Gray shot 52% (14-27) from the floor, including 7-of-16 (44%) from beyond the arc. He was nearly flawless at the charity stripe, converting on 10-of-11 foul shots.  The 23-point performance at Lakeland was a career high for the sophomore guard.
