Sinclair sweeps baseball weekly awards again

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Week 4 of the baseball season brings this week’s OCCAC awards with Noah Laster (Eastern Gateway) and AJ Peter (Sinclair) sharing Baseball co-Pitcher of the Week recognition and Keegan Corbett selected as Players of the Week.

KEEGAN CORBETT

Sinclair Community College | Baseball Player of the Week
Corbett (FR/C – Bishop Fenwick H.S.) batted 4-for-9 with a homerun and two RBI in Sinclair’s series sweep over Kellogg. He also drew a walk for an overall OPS of 1.300. The catcher made an impact from behind the dish as well, throwing out three baserunners.


AJ PETER
Sinclair Community College | Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Peter (SO/RHP – Grove City H.S.) Peter posted a 7-inning complete game shutout in Game 3 of the series sweep over Kellogg. He scattered four hits and struck out nine to secure the win

Sinclair is now 9-2 and held onto the #2 ranking in the latest NJCAA Division II baseball poll.  Over the last eleven seasons, Sinclair has been ranked in every year and the #2 ranking is the best in school history.
